Exercise of the Week: Chest Stretch on the Ball

Monday June 13, 2005
There may be some controversy about whether stretching reduces injury but, one thing we can probably agree on is that it sure feels good. If you have an exercise ball, you'll be happy to know you can use it for a variety of relaxing stretches to increase flexibility and feel good. Try my favorite, the chest stretch on the ball.

Do it right: Lie face up on the ball and roll down until your back is fully supported. Relax your hips and head and let your arms fall out to the sides for a relaxing chest stretch. Hold for 3-5 breaths. More Relaxing Stretches on the Ball.
