Working Out at Work

Friday March 3, 2006
I'm a firm believer that sitting on our butts is about the worst thing we can do to our bodies. Having said that, I (like so many of you out there) spend a lot of my time sitting--it's just so easy to get involved in what you're doing and forget about getting up now and than, isn't it? One way around that is to set an alarm every 30-60 minutes that reminds you to get up and move.

Working out at work isn't always easy, but these resources will give you some ideas for what you can do right at your desk and give you hope that workplace exercise will become accessible to all of us.

Workplace Exercise Study. Do we really need a study to figure out if exercise will improve our health at work? I think it's pretty obvious, but these days you need a study if you really want to make serious changes. Hopefully, this study will have a lasting impact.
