Can I Lose Fat and Gain Muscle at the Same Time?

When it comes to exercise and our bodies, we want it all--to slim down in some places while bulking up in others. That's one reason so many people ask me: Can I lose fat and gain muscle at the same time? The short answer to that is no. The long answer is also no, but provides a little more detail about how losing fat and gaining muscle are two different goals.
