The Best Time to Exercise

Friday March 10, 2006
In her Crunch Time Blog, Suzanne talks about my favorite topic: warm weather and the fact that it really is going to get here eventually. She also mentions wanting to change to morning workouts as the weather warms up saying, "There's something about working out first thing that sets the mood for the whole day!" So true.

Morning exercise has many benefits:

  • It's easier to stick to your exercise program. Studies have found that successful exercisers usually exercise in the morning.
  • You get it done before your schedule takes over.
  • It makes you more alert and energetic for the rest of the day.
  • You get a nice metabolism boost that continues all day long.
  • It makes other non-exercisers jealous.

Of course, a workout is a workout whether you do it at 6 A.M. or 6 P.M., so get moving.

I find when I excercise after it work, it wines me down after a hard day, I feel refreshed and able to tackle family and home life and whatever else comes my way. Excercise is good whenever you have time to do it, your body does notice, it gives off good endorphins, endorphins make you happy. If your happy there’s no stress.
