When Good Habits Stick
Tuesday April 18, 2006
It may seem like exercising and eating healthy is an endless battle. But, if you stick with it, you'll find it really does get easier and some of those choices that seem so hard at first eventually become second nature to you. Just check out Suzanne's latest post: "Quick! Somebody call Ripley's Believe It or Not! We have now gone two Fridays in a row without ordering out. I know, I know! It's amazing!"
Those good choices really do stick after awhile and what you learn is that you really can enjoy exercise and healthy eating. Way to go, Suzanne!

If someone had told me that I would learn to enjoy exercising someday, I would have told them they were crazy! Amazingly, I have been exercising for a little over a year now and everyday I can’t wait to do it again. I can’t say it happened overnight but after a while it became more and more enjoyable and I’ve even lost weight! Surprise, surprise!
That’s great, Joyce! You finally figured out the secret–just keeping doing it and, eventually, it all starts to make sense. Keep up the great work.
My name is Katy, I have back trouble and am about 80’s overweight; how long(timewise) should I start out on a walking program. Would it be better if I bicycled?
