In the Forum - Dealing with Cravings

Monday May 15, 2006

Back in the day, I was a junk food queen. Taco Bell was my home away from home and Doritoes...well, let's just say I single-handedly kept Frito-Lay in business. When I decided to change my diet, I gradually phased out the chips and that fast food, replacing them with healthier alternatives. Even though I didn't take all my favorite foods away at once, I had some problems with cravings and I didn't always know the best way to handle them.

That's why I liked this post from one forum member who asked: "I don't have a big sweet tooth but I find that by me trying to take out sweet foods my body or mind craves them like crazy! Does anyone know of how to fight these cravings?"

Should you give into a craving or fight it? And will those cravings eventually go away? What do you think? Come join the discussion and give us your thoughts on cravings.
