Workout of the Week - No Equipment Travel Workout

Friday July 7, 2006
When I go on vacation, my workouts tend to be easy to the point of not actually existing. Like many travelers, I find it difficult to exercise without my usual schedule in place. Part of the problem is that we try too hard to follow our usual workout routine, which often won't work on a travel or vacation schedule. It's much easier to fit in exercise if you keep the workouts short and simple and the best ones are those you can do in your hotel room with little or no equipment.

This No Equipment Travel Workout has saved me more than a few times in my travels. It includes challenging exercises that require only your body, a chair or bed and something heavy to hold (I often use a phone book or my computer bag) and it can be done in about 10 minutes if you do each move for 1 minute. Give it a try!
