Exercise of the Week - Tiptoe Squats

There are a variety of ways to do squats, but one of my favorite travel versions is the Tiptoe Squat. When you don't have access to weights, but you still want to work your legs, this version of the traditional squat can be pretty challenging. Being on your toes adds instensity in the calves as well as the quads, so you'll really start to feel it after a few reps.

Do it right: Stand with feet about hip-distance apart and squat down to place hands on a chair, step or (as pictured) a phone book. Raise up onto your tiptoes and fingertips while lifting the hips up towards the ceiling and straightening the knees as much as you can. Squat back down and repeat, staying on tiptoes the entire time.

all through school and out I was taught never to bend your back, but to look up so you keep a good posture in prevention of back ache and injury.

ARMED RESPONSE

While we at M&F constantly appeal to your practical side by preaching
the benefits of a balanced, full-body workout split to give you a
proportional, symmetrical physique, we know why 99% of you pick us up
on the newsstands and visit us here on the web: Because you want bigger

Hey, it’s understandable. Nothing quite exudes power and confidence
like a set of vascular, 20-inch arms protruding from your sleeves. But
truth be told, not everyone has the Ferrigno-like genetics to shred
through shirts. That doesn’t mean that you can’t live up to your own
body’s full potential. Find out how four bodybuilding pros tricked out
their arms, despite possessing lackluster DNA. Hardgainers won’t want
