Vote in This Week's Poll: How often do you weigh yourself?
All of us respond differently to our weight. Some people don't care what they weigh, but go by how their clothes fit. Others know what their weight is on any given day down to the last ounce. And then there are those of you who won't rest until you find the perfect scale - the one that gives you the lowest weight.
Any way you look at it, what we weigh and that (sometimes lying) little tool we use to measure that weight inspires a level of emotion that few inanimate objects can. And that makes me curious...are you an obsessive weigher or are you the type of person who can't remember the last time he stepped on a scale? Vote in this week's poll and tell us about your weighing habits.

I weigh myself every morning first thing. I then take my weights for the week, average them together, and report the average to WeightWatchers.com. I think it helps me not play dumb scale games like I used to do when I weighed weekly (such as avoiding salt or doing extra exercise). Now it’s just a regular part of my day.
The only time I am weighed is when I go to the doctor. This could be twice a month or once a month. I don’t weigh myself because I used to be anorexic and it is a rule I stick to.
I belong to T.O.P.S., a weight loss/mgmt support group (tops.org) and we weigh-in each week just before our meeting. That is the only time I step on a scale.
I weigh myself on a scale once every few months just out of curiousity. And, maybe at doctor’s office once a year, if I go in then.
I weigh myself everyday before I get in the shower. I feel like I have to in order to determine how I should eat for the day or if I should eat at all.
I only weigh myself every once and a while. Weight is just a number. If you feel good and you still fit in your clothes then what is the point. Besides more chances than not, you aren’t going to be happy with the number. Why disappoint yourself over a silly number.
the more i weigh myself the up and down from day to day drives me crazy. when i stopped doing it and only weighed in 4-6weeks i was less discourged thru exercise and healthy eating (no processed foods) i have lost 53lbs in 6 months
I never weigh myself unless I go to the doctor for a check up because if you constantly step onto the scale sometimes it can be very discouraging.
I’ve recently started an exercise-diet program.(One I created myself), anyway so at first I drove myself crazy by weighing each day. I’d get on the scale and freak if I didn’t lose a pound. Now I only weigh myself once a month. Still seeing the weight come off and thats what really matters.
I despise the scale. I do not have a scale in my house. I usually refuse to get on the scale at the dr. office. I didn’t come there to see how heavy or thin I am. The scale makes me feel fat…
Weighing myself every morning works for me. When I weigh everyday, I usually tend to keep my weight constant. When I don’t step on a scale for months, the next time I do I’ve gained. I need the daily reminder to be active and healthy.
when I go to the doctor which is every
3 months
I check my weight by the number of belt holes I don’t use…weight while an issue is not the driving force for my overall physical condition…
I only weigh when I see a doc for my annual checkup- not an obsession . I exercise, feel good. I know where I need to be for my health
Yeah, i weigh myself EVERYDAY - during wrestling season that is. You have to be extremely weight conscious… -every little OUNCE counts!!
