Vote in This Week's Poll: How are you doing on your New Year's resolutions?
I got an email from an old client the other day. In it, she said: "I'm off the wagon. I'm so far off the wagon, I think I'm under the wagon. Please send help!" When I talked to her, she told me she'd started January out so strong, she almost didn't recognize herself. Cut to four weeks later and, as she put it, "Now I recognize myself all to well. Why do I do this to myself?"
Many of us start the new year strong, only to peter out once reality sets in. I'll be talking more about getting back on track this week, but what I want to know is: How are you doing with your resolutions? Are you going strong or are the winter doldrums getting you down? Vote in this week's poll and tell us about it and, if you're still going strong, share your motivation with the rest of us in comments.

down to 211 pounds from 235 I know if I keep going I will start to be in good health. Even now the logic of knowing what I put in my mouth effects my ability to workout encourages me to eat better. Soon my aerobic fitness will be in the healthy category.
Look at pictures I often avoided them BUT I found a couple from christmas, and was amazed. SOme people have no self esteme apparantly I had too much lol. I feel smaller but saw what I looked like. and that(100 lbs overweight) was what kept me on track down 10 lbs(since jan 5th) tried every diet in the book and exercise has boosted my weight loss I was 247 now 235 hey now!!!! Oh yeah my opnion is when you burn 500 calories in the gym you don’t want to eat like you used to its torture enough(jogging, and arobics) atleast have the discipline to get some where with the hard work. instead of at square one
I do not make Resolutions but I do make an effort. I’ve gained weight due to a new kidney and being on immuno-suppressants. I am trying to exercise more and eat less junk. I signed up for an aerobics class. Although I missed one class already, I worked out more at home that day then I’ve ever done before, so I am on the right track.

I thought about a resolution but had an epiphany!!! I will wait until the start of Lent before a resolution is made. My resolution is to not drink beer and to lose weight during Lent. Now on my sixth day.
