Surviving the Holidays Without Weight Gain

Wednesday November 26, 2008
It's hard to believe Thanksgiving is almost here, but it is and I know this because of all the last minute calls I've gotten from clients wanting one more workout before the eating frenzy begins. I've been trying to convince my clients not to completely ditch their workouts this weekend and some of them may even listen. I'm sure my clients enjoyed receiving that lecture and so will you as you go through some of my holiday weight gain articles and workout ideas I've pulled together for you.

I know that many of you are traveling and staying with family - it's tough to stay on track when you're on someone else's schedule. You'll need to get creative to fit in exercise and my survival guide may offer some ideas you hadn't thought of. Check out some of the other resources below for more ideas and then tell us how you stay on track during the holidays. Do you stick with your normal routine or do you wing it?

It’s all about not making excuses. It’s easy to say “I didn’t have time” when really, ten minutes is all you have to have. Who doesn’t have ten minutes? Anyone reading this article has ten minutes- borrow the ten minutes from the time we spend on the computer.

It seems people can’t go a day without checking email, blogs, forums… For me, I can’t go a day sitting on my butt knowing I could have made time.

Good tips for the bodyweight workouts in your link! I’m a big fan of them for when I travel for work.
