If you've ever made the mistake of going for a run in 95-degree weather while wearing a cotton tee shirt, you probably realized it was, indeed, a mistake rather quickly. As the sweat soaks into the shirt, it gets heavier and heavier, perhaps even chafing your delicate skin and making you realize that paying more for sweat-wicking clothes isn't such a bad idea.

I guess folks are taking the summer off from exercise… The summer Olympics are about to commence in the UK. I typically follow the events of an Olympics. I get an adrenalin rush watching these athletes perform at such a high level, and get inspired to do more in my workouts.
A month ago, I attempted a leg lift normally performed by the men on the parallel bars and rings. After two weeks of trying every few days, I was able to hold the position with the legs in front, and to the sides, for a period of a minute in each position at a time. I surprised myself that I could do this in such a short period of learning.
My new goal is to perform a torso lift with the hands holding the side of a bench lifting the entire body with the buttocks above the shoulders and the feet to the sides. I don’t know if I’ll be able to do this, but I refuse to assume that I can’t until I’ve tried.
I was looking forward to your advice for good exercise clothing, especially when there are so many different ‘special weaves’ etc. Unfortunately since I am trying to get back into shape only the hat & sunscreen come in my size. You may want to reach out a little more to novices & plus size people since we are more likely to be seeking advice on fitness than someone who’s already ‘in the program’.
