Are You Following the Trends?

By November 15, 2012

Follow me on:

2013 is just a couple of months away, which makes this the perfect time to wonder: Where did the time go? Or maybe I only say that because I'm old and that's the kind of thing old people say.

Every year around this time, organizations like the American College of Sports Medicine come out with predictions for the coming new year. Here's a taste of what we're going to be into come in 2013:

  1. Educated, Certified, and Experienced Fitness Professionals
  2. Strength Training
  3. Body Weight Training
  4. Children and Obesity
  5. Exercise and Weight Loss
  6. Fitness for Older Adults
  7. Personal Training
  8. Functional Fitness
  9. Core Training
  10. Group Fitness Training

You can read the full list at Worldwide Survey of Fitness Trends for 2013

I like reading about trend surveys, but reality can look different for those of us out on the exercise/weight loss battlefield. Taking a look at your exercise life, how are your workouts trending? Have you noticed a change in how you exercise or how you think about exercise over the past few years? What's different about how you exercise now and will you change anything in 2013?

Leave a comment and tell us about the evolution of your workouts.
