What's your biggest weight loss mistake? Many of us might say it's eating too much or not exercising enough and, of course, those are the external choices necessary to lose weight. What's more important are the reasons behind those choices.
We don't just stop exercising because we get too busy. We stop exercising because our workouts are no longer a priority anymore. We don't just go off a diet for no reason. We do it because we use food to deal with stress or other emotions and, without it, we don't know how to handle those emotions.
Probably the biggest mistake I see is: Giving up too soon. When you change your diet or start exercising, you aren't just changing what you do...you're changing how you think and that process takes time. If we don't get it right the first time around, we often give up.
What other mistakes do you make? Unrealistic expectations, maybe? Or how about having a negative attitude about exercise? Those are just a few of the ideas I discuss in my article, The Five Biggest Weight Loss Blunders and I also offer some solutions to help you get past those mental obstacles.
