Great article, especially with everyone being so busy around the holidays. I especially like kettlebell swings, because they really work the core and the posterior chain. If you don’t have a kettlebell, you can even do them with a dumbell, a sandbag, or whatever is handy.

I’m a (probably) overly-considerate apartment-dweller – so I’m very wary of exercises that involve jumping or anything that will cause thumpy-noises and annoy my lovely downstairs neighbours.

What would you recommend as an ‘apartment-dwellers work-out’…?

To keep it quiet and low impact, extend your body on tip toes instead of jumping (squat-jump). Your calves will love it. Jump outside when you get the chance to maintain bone strength. You can still get intensity without jumping. The kettle bell swings, front kick with planks, etc. performed in a circuit should get your heart rate going!
