Body Fat Estimator
To go back and forth from the two methods of body fat estimation, click on the two top tabs (Circumference or YMCA) or click on the Previous or Next buttons at the bottom. Your body fat percentage is a good indication of how fit you are. Along with body part measurements, your BFP is much more reliable than the scale at determining how well you are doing in your fitness program.
For the Circumference Method: Choose male or female and enter in the requested information by either typing it in yourself or using the arrow keys. Once the cursor is in the value box, you can also use the PageUp and PageDown keys to speed up the process. The waist/abdomen measurement should be the smallest circumference below your rib cage and above your navel. The hips measurement should be the largest circumference at your buttocks. The iliac information is the circumference around the top of your hip bones. Just go down from your side by your stomach, and you will hit them.
For the YMCA Method: Once again, choose your gender and enter the requested information. With both of these methods, you can increase or decrease variables to help set goals.
