Ultimate Cable Crunches
Ultimate Cable Crunches
Ultimate cable crunches are an awesome, advanced exercise that takes some time to get used to at first. This is definitely not for beginners. Ultimate cable crunches work the upper and lower portion of your abs as well as your obliques because you are performing spinal flexion.
Instructions
- Use a rope attachment at the top portion of a cable machine.
- Step back and sit on your knees until you are stretched out like the graphic.
- Flex your spine and contract your stomach as hard as you can.
Tips
- Make sure you initiate the movement with your abs and don't cheat with your arms, shoulders, etc. or use momentum.
- Concentrate on not returning to the starting position completely and releasing the tension. Stop just short of that.
- After you adapt to this exercise, you can contract your stomach more intensely, but you should always resist and come back in a more controlled manner but not necessarily slow.
