If you're feeling worn out, it's time to take care of business! These simple steps will help you generate a little more energy.
Difficulty: Easy
Time Required: All Day
Here's How:
  1. Drink up! Staying hydrated is one simple way to avoid fatigue.
  2. Eat More Often. Food is your energy source and your body needs fuel every four or so hours. Stick with balanced meals and eat lots of fruits, veggies and whole grains!
  3. Move around. Staying active will keep you mentally alert and help reduce stress. Why not take the stairs?
  4. Catch some zzzz's. You know you need at least 8 hours, so no excuses!
  5. Relax. Doing things you enjoy can help energize your mind after a long day of kissing up to the boss.
  6. Play. Finding time throughout the day to do something pointless is just the thing for a tired mind. Solitaire anyone?
  7. Avoid alcohol. Sure the occasional drink is fine, but alcohol makes you tired AND it gets in the way of a good night's sleep.
  8. Avoid sugar. When that afternoon chocolate craving hits, try some fruit or yogurt to avoid that dreaded sugar crash.
Tips:
  1. Keep a water bottle with you all day long. Oh, and drink it!
  2. Keep healthy snacks handy to avoid the vending machine.
  3. Go to bed at the same time each night and try to wake up at the same time each morning (even on weekends).
  4. Schedule your exercise time so it's harder to skip it.
