While 99% of dieters fail to permanently lose weight on diet and exercise programs, it isn't fair to say that 99% of diet/exercise programs fail. It isn't the fault of the program, it's the fault of the dieter.
All diets will work for a short period of time but they won't work in the long-term because people don't want to follow them as much as they want to keep eating the way they always have.
