Nutrition Analysis Tool
With the Nutrition Analysis Tool offered by the University of Illinois, you can enter specific foods you've eaten and get a report on the nutritional breakdown based on the RDA for your age group. This is a great way to find out how healthy your diet is and a few things you can change (like not eating that donut every morning!)
Nutrition Facts Analyzer
This free nutritional database allows you to analyze your diet. Simply choose a food category, enter in a specific food and the system generates your very own lable that lists nutritional data. It also tells you the ratio of carbs, fat and protein for each food and whether it's good for you or not.
Nutritiously Gourmet
This site is for the amateur chefs out there who like to cook but need more healthy recipes. They also provide some basic information about nutrition (like how many servings you need of each type of food) and their recipes are fancy without being too difficult, even for non-cooks!
The Mayo Clinic
The Mayo Clinic's Nutrition Center is made up of various articles covering all aspects of health and nutrition. Check out their articles about portion sizes or read up on which fad diets are losers. You will also find great healthy recipes and you can ask the dietician any diet question you may have.
USDA
This is the first site you should visit before you start rearranging your diet. Remember the food pyramid you studied in third grade? It's all here at this site along with brief articles about things like alcohol and portion sizes.
