Staying Accountable

Your Accountability and Progress
It's easy to keep track of what you're doing with the Workout Log. You simply write down the date, how many circuits you did and how much cardio you completed for that week. At the end of the week you'll log into the 'Accountability System' and record your weekly totals. After 8 weeks your totals are calculated, you're graded and then sent an email letting you know how you did.

To track your progress you can use circumference measurements submitted when you sign up. A chart is available that details exactly how to take your own measurements. Every six weeks, you'll re-enter your measurements and compare them to your previous statistics.

Motivation and Support
Motivation is usually the missing ingredient when it comes to sticking to an exercise program. Joni takes care of that with daily emails with easy tips to eat right and how to fit exercise into your busy day. Need more? You can opt to sign up for a Workout Buddy and exchange emails with that person for a little extra push. The Fitness Forum on the site is another great place to post your questions and get to know others who are following the program.

You will also find the articles on the site helpful. They cover everything from nutrition and cardio to the mind/body connection. The site also provides a Fit Tip of the Day, Move of the Week (includes description, picture and video), low fat recipes, and links to other helpful health and fitness sites. They offer basic exercise equipment like workout gloves, ankle weights and jump ropes you can purchase from the site. If that's not enough, you'll love the Fitness Toolbox which includes fitness calculators, a food journal, a stretching library and more.

Final Score
What makes this site so great is the motivation and support available. Every day you're given a reason to exercise and be healthy and it's much harder to skip your workout when you've got that email staring at you in your inbox! The workouts are easy to understand and the exercises are shown in such detail that you'll know you're doing it right. Keeping track of your workouts is simple since you only write down how much you did each week (rather than keeping a detailed list of the exercises, weights, reps, etc.). My favorite thing about this site is it's simplicity. You get your goals, you get your workout, you get started. You don't have to log in every single day (although I bet you will!), just once a week to tell Joni how you did and to get your new workout for the week. The price is reasonable at less than $5.00 a week. Best of all, this site is geared specifically towards women and their needs, although I doubt Joni would turn a man away!

Score: A+!
