Being more active, even if you're not exercising, can help with weight loss. For example, if you weigh 160 pounds and decided to go cut the grass (with a PUSH mower of course) for 30 minutes, you'd burn about 175 calories. Plus you'd have a nice, manicured lawn!
Strength & Flexibility Focus:
Total Body Workout - Perform at least 2 sets of each exercise and use enough weight that you can ONLY complete 12-16 repetitions
Nutrition Focus: Fiber
In the high protein world, there is some controversy over carbs and whether or not to love 'em or leave 'em. So, what is all the fuss about? Frankly, I don't know because I try real hard not to listen, but I do know that eating more fiber can help you lose weight. The best thing is that you don't have to work all that hard to sneak more fiber into your diet. Check out these simple ways to get more fiber in your diet.
Motivation
If you find exercise a little tedious--enough that you're looking for reasons to skip it, take a moment and read the Top 10 Reasons You Don't Exercise. See anything that jumps out at you? Taking some time to figure out what excuses you use to skip the old workout is the first step towards healing your relationship with exercise. Exercise is NOT the enemy! Really! :-)
