Nutrition: Antioxidants
Today we're talking about antioxidants--those little chemicals that can protect our cells and keep them healthy. If you're not sure what they are, this article helps explain it. The important thing is to make sure you're getting antioxidants in your diet. If you're eating any of the following foods, you're on the right track:
- Green tea
- Berries
- Sunflower seeds
- Grapes, oranges or pineapple
- Pinto beans
- Spinach
- Wine
For a more complete list of fruits, nuts and veggies that contain antioxidants, check out this article. Cheers!
Motivation
Even if you've been working out for a while, you still often need a little help to keep you going. Today, we'll talk about music since nothing motivates you through a good sweaty workout than your favorite tunes. Since I grew up in the 70's and 80's, I'm a big fan of disco and popular music from the 80's. At any given time, I could have an old B-52's CD in the walkman or, if I'm feeling more modern, a little No Doubt. What's you're favorite music? Hit the nearest music store nearby today and pick up something that will help keep you motivated. If you want exercise music, check out these links for where to buy music mixed specifically for exercise. Don't forget--leave the headphones at home if you're jogging or walking outside so you can stay alert to what's going on around you.
