Shadow Sports
Shadow
Sports is one of the best sports specific videos on the market.
After a solid warm up, you move on into exercises that target hand-eye
coordination, balance, endurance, and stability. Each major sport
is covered (baseball, basketball, football, etc.) and the exercises
relate to specific movements common to each sport. For example,
during the 'football' section, you'll hustle backwards and simulate
throwing a football simultaneously--a nice integration of moves. This
is a low impact workout, although there are some jump-roping sections.
Many exercise also strengthen the hips, thighs and glutes--areas that
have to be strong for sports as well as every day activities.
The best thing about this video is that it's perfect to do with
older children, whether they play sports or not. The moves are
simple and, with Kassandra's excellent cueing, you'll have no trouble
following the workout. | |
