Definition: Ketosis happens when the body's metabolic process goes wonky which can increase ketones in the blood (ketones are by-products the body produces when it uses fat for energy instead sugar). Ketosis can happen if you don't get enough carbs and can be prevented by getting at least 100 grams of carbs a day. Of course, some people think ketosis is no big deal, but at the very least, it can cause kidney stones.
