Body Acceptance Quiz Results - Somewhat accepting of your body

After taking the Body Acceptance Quiz, your results indicate you are somewhat accepting of your body, but may need a little more work at improving your body image. You may be a perfectionist who's always working toward the perfect body. While you're good at staying committed to exercise and at setting goals, you tend to be hard on yourself and may push yourself beyond your limits in order to reach your goals. Some problems you may encounter:
  • Overtraining: Excessive exercise can lead to burnout, injury and fatigue.
  • Unhealthy eating patterns: You may worry so much about gaining weight that you cut your calories too much. This can actually stall your weight loss and make your workouts more difficult because your body isn't getting the fuel it needs.
  • Unrealistic goals: While you can improve your body, getting the 'perfect' body is out of reach for most of us. Constantly striving for a goal you can't reach may leave you frustrated.

The good news is that you can change how you feel about your body and start taking better care of it. Start by learning more about how to redefine success and set more realistic goals:

Next, explore ways you can focus more on taking care of your body and making it the best it can be, rather than striving for perfection. If you always push yourself during exercise, consider incorporating more gentle exercise that allows you to relax and rejuvenate such as yoga or flexibility workouts. Last, try to remember all the good reasons you're exercising. Weight loss is just one benefit of exercise.
