Definition: Obesity means a person has too much body fat that could cause health problems. A person may be considered obese if he or she is more than 100 pounds overweight or has a Body Mass Index (BMI) between 25-30.
Being obese can cause a number of health issues like heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure and joint problems. It can also contribute to psychological issues like depression, anxiety and low self-esteem.
