Do not wear while walking down stairs. My foot rolled and I broke my ankle. They are fine for straight walking, but here I sit in a cast for the next 6 to 8 weeks. Grr!
For toning while walking they did seem to work, but as I said, do not wear if you will be doing any type of stairs.
