What I did
I went on the 30-day Fitness Challenge in Nov 09, and found as a normally undisciplined individual it at first hard to give up and say no to the deserts I normally part-took regularly.
How I did it
Where I found it hard was at home, or out with friends when my wife would eat unhealthily and I been undisciplined would have to say "NO!". But to my surprise I did and it worked. After a while (a few weeks) when we went to the grocery store, my wife started buying healthier foods, so we weren't tempted at home.
Lessons Learned
- Being disciplined is a major part of getting the desired results. But taking things day by day, is important for a long term out look.
- Personally I find it hard to not eat desserts when they are so appetizing. I tend to leave the room before temptation takes a hold, and I cave.
