What motivated me to lose weight

I used to be skinny and always love mixing and matching clothes as I love dressing up! When I was still in Philippines, I only weigh 47KG as this is my ideal weight for my height. However, when I got here in Singapore, maybe they're right, it's really such a food paradise! All my fave food are here from Chinese, Japanese, Mexican, Tai, Indian, etc. This explains why I gained 11 KG in like 6 months. Imagine how frustrating that can be.

To cut my story short, what motivated me are my family and friends. Whenever I chat with my family in the video from Philippines, they always give comments that I'm fat.

How I lost weight

With the help of my family and friends, I started to give my self proper discipline and focus. I also allowed myself to go to shopping malls, try different clothes which I love and which I know that will not fit me. Guess what, it's crazy but I bought them. In this case, I will be so motivated to lose weight just to wear these fancy clothes! And yes, it worked....

How did I lose 10KG in 5 months? I didn't skip any meals. My breakfast will still be the same which is 2 slices of bread + tuna spread or ham with cheese and Mayo. My lunch is still the normal meal which is rice + dish like nasi lemak which is my favorite (I know its not healthy, ok then my dinner is totally disciplined... I only eat veggies + milk or fruits +milk, believe me you will not feel hungry afterwards! :)

I also did a lot of exercise and signed up on a yoga class. Twice a week I go to gym and twice a week I go to yoga class. The rest of the days, I will just treat myself to eat whatever food I like, but still of course a little bit control.

Tips and Tricks

  • Discipline and focus will help you to reach your weight target!
  • Do lots of exercise at least twice a week to improve metabolism!
  • Don't just sweat, try to challenge yourself to do hard workouts like push ups, crunches...the more you get palpitation, the more your losing weight!
