best fat burning exercise

The easiest way (machine) to get your heart rate up and therefore burn the most calories is on the spin bike, working at intensity of course. This is absolutely the best high intensity workout and I have been a competitive athlete my entire life doing many different sports and machines. Yes, strength training increases muscle tissue which use more calories to exist, but if you want faster weight and fat loss, SPIN HARD and fast, get that heart rate up as high as you can.

Set a goal!

My motivation has been to set a goal for an upcoming event that I would never be able to do without training. Personally, I signed up for the Tough Mudder challenge, which is one of the more difficult "Mud" challenges. I paid up-front, a significant amount of money, so quitting is not an option. I also have some co-workers that are training for it, so fellow support is there. Lastly, I gathered some sponsors (Tough Mudder is a charity event) that will help me donate to the cause. If I don't train, I won't be able to reach my goal, and I will let down a lot of people (including myself) and will have lost a significant amount of money. I definitely encourage people to sign up for a marithon/triathalon/event that they wouldn't be able to do without training. And then, tell EVERYONE about it. You will have lots of support to help motivate you, and a reason of not wanting to let them down. The accomplishment (not to mention bragging rights) will be amazing!!

Anything is something

If I find that the day has passed me by and I don't have time for a long workout, I go up to my gym at work anyway and whether it's 15 minutes or even 10 minutes, it's something! And it rejuvenates me, putting a pep back in my step, and balancing my mood.

Making myself workout

I try to work out most the time......but if I have an incredibly busy week, often some of the days are used for recuperating, as the weekends are physically hard on the body. I work in the railway yard fixing or involved in restoring old vintage trains. This is taxing, both physically and mentally. In the winter it is cold and it goes to the bone in the open, if there's wind blowing. I do light weight training to keep myself limber and strong. Then on Sunday, my friend and I spend the last day of weekend strolling around the city by foot for cardio, as I have leg problems.

sport

I train and compete as a kick boxer and I know that strength, speed and cardio are all needed to be successful so to motivate myself I just think about how badly I don’t want to lose. All three on these things can be used in other sports and could motivate you with your sport.

Endorphin rush

I have come to crave the "runner's high" that comes from exertion, and try to go out and move even if it's late. I have a big dog that needs exercise as well, so I try to do right by him. Music makes even unpleasantries quite tolerable, and can be a great motivator.

EFT

I do what is called EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique), which is basically tapping on body parts while saying that although I have that problem, I accept and love myself. I tap in front of a picture of my big reward (usually a vacation destination or cruise) to get me motivated even more whenever I don't like to exercise at the gym when someone will drag me there on some days!

I put on work out clothes when I get out of bed, even when I'm not in the mood to work out. Then I stay in them till I do. Even if it is 5 pm and I haven't worked out I DO NOT CHANGE. A hot shower and clean clothes is the payoff. Works for me.

Rocky keeps me motivated

Every morning my dog Rocky waits for me to get my walking attire on and is always ready to go for a walk. It's great walking with a buddy, he helps me stay active.

One old Fireman's method...

My health was teetering on the brink. I had retired & let myself go from bad to worse. I finally decided I'd better give my health and fitness top priority before something nasty happened. It took a few months to get really regular - I work out 6 days a week - split routine, and take Sunday off. I don't have breakfast until my workout's done, so that is a definite motivator. I eat meat, vegetables, fruit, some whole grains, and stay away from sugars, booze, simple carbs, white anything. If I have a morning commitment, I go to bed earlier the night before, get up earlier and get the workout done before I go anywhere. I get one "cheat day" a month from my sensible eating, but I still do my workout that day. Down 50 pounds in 7 months, with lots more to go. Feeling so much healthier and having less pain are also good motivators. You can accomplish whatever you set your mind to. Just give it a high enough priority and stick with it. Good luck! Ciao. ;)

ACHIEVE YOUR GOAL

I take my belly tops out of the wardrobe, my mini skirts and bikini set and lay them out on the bed. That way, as I'm working out and start losing motivation, I focus on the outfits I want to wear and look good in.

Get your kit on!!!

I always have a promise to myself that if I'm at home & I get my gym kit on, I have to go. Otherwise, it's a real pain to take it all off again!!

that feeling

I love the feeling after my workout..its amazing...that's the biggest motivation. Being fit and in good shape is a bonus!

friends

If I feel I might change my mind about going to the gym, I always tell my friend I'm going and she usually meets me. That way I'm disappointing more than just myself If I don't go.

Just "GO"

Just "Go" Don't think about it. Make the time for yourself and feel good.
