Thinking About Joining a Gym!

I've been a member of a gym a few times, and had at one point decided that I wanted to make myself more active by biking, walking outside, that sort of thing. That did work well, in many ways; I am much more active than I used to be. But lately the treadmills, ellipticals, weight machines et al have been calling and calling. I also want to get into weight training more, and I like the vast array of weights you can find a gym as opposed to the little set I have at home.

I've been getting some great advice over in the Exercise forum that's been really useful.

I just have this itch to kick it up a notch! I'm aiming for New Year's because December is just too busy for me -- and, hopefully, the gym will be having some specials, like waiving registration fees! I want to follow Paige's 12 Weeks to Weight Loss program. It's a great program, and I think the 12 weeks will give me enough time to create some good workout habits. And 12 weeks into the new year brings us to the end of March, beginning of April -- that is, springtime! -- so maybe this will help me keep the winter blahs away!
