In the Forum - Oxycise

Monday June 27, 2005
One forum member wants to know: "Has anyone tried Oxycise for weight loss?" I haven't used it and I'll tell you why--because it's crap. Using breathing techniques to lose weight isn't the best approach...but deep breathing can help you to relax. What do you think? Is there any merit to this type of weight loss program? Come join the discussion and tell us what you think about this or other infomerical quick fixes.

My wife, my son, and I have all use Oxycise. We have all found it VERY effective for losing inches and trimming up. I also notice that my joints work better (I’m 58) when I do oxycise, and I’m definitely sharper mentally.
My son is an avid weightlifter; he works out at least an hour a day. When he wants to lose a couple of extra pounds he uses oxycise for about a week and it does the trick.
You can call it crap if you want to, but in our experience it works great.

Its crap? Leaving it at that is not even close to fair or unbiased. Have you used it and it didn’t work for you? Have you even tried it?

While I won’t say it works for everyone, its worked for a LOT more people then not. You only need to look around to see all the reviews from people whom have lost.

Your statement isn’t fair and without merit.

I disagree with your comment. How can you judge something you’ve never used? I’ve used it for the past 4 years. The first time I used it was after my first child to lose some weight and I lost 3 inches of my bust, 3 inces of my waist, toned up and my breathing improved, as well as losing 15kg in 2months. I use this as part of my weekly fitness as well as walking since I first started even following the births of my other children. Until you try it don’t bother abusing it.

I bought it about 7 years ago, but sent it back. I did no see any results and my throat and stomach hurt. Did anyone else experience this? Maybe I was doing it wrong. I may try it again because I need to lose weight, but have back and knee injuries.

We have used it off and on for about 7 years and we love it. We can do the simple stretches and we always feel great after doing it. We only use tape #1 and that works great for us. We also lose weight, gently, and our muscle tone improves from only doing that.

Tsk Tsk Tsk! You should always test a product before assuming it’s worth. Oxycise worked for me. I was able to lose 50 pounds in less than four months! And with little time and four children, it was a super blessing.

Well I have been oxycising for 8 years. When Ineed to lose weight and inches I oxycise before I get out of bed and before bedtime.
The first week I used it I lost 4.5 inches in my neck.My voice has also improved and so has my singing. So to say you haven’t even tried it, is like saying I don’t like you without even meeting you.Try it you’ll like it.

My niece and I have always wondered if it was our shallow breathing that stopped us from losing weight as both of us are healthy eaters and are quite active.
After reading most of your comments, We’ll have to try oxycise.
Thank You.

I just checked the video(2 of them) out from my local library. I live in a rural area and with high gas prices it cost to much to go 15 miles out of my way for a gym. This sounds like something worth trying. Breathing is super important with any exercise. And even if I don’t lose pounds I’ll breath better so its still a win-win situation. But I’m trying it tonight with an open mind. And I agree with the others don’t judge it until you have tried it.
