Easing Back into Exercise

Tuesday June 13, 2006
In Suzanne's Crunch Time Blog this week, she talks about trying to ease back into exercise after dealing with some injuries. As she puts it, "It's not easy, let me tell you! I want to just jump back in!"

I can totally relate, having just gotten over a very nasty cold/flu. While some people have a hard time sticking with exercise, there are others who have a hard time taking a break to heal injuries or get over a cold. In fact, most adults I know have a hard time relaxing at all...why are we so hard on ourselves?

Today, I'm giving you an assignment. You won't be graded on it and there's no right way to do it...the only thing you have to do is relax. Whether you take two minutes or ten, schedule a block of time where you try one of the workouts or relaxation techniques below or just sit, close your eyes and breathe deeply. You deserve it!
