New Workouts: Total Body Timesaver and Beginner Ball

Wednesday January 17, 2007
This week, I'm highlighting two new workouts, one for beginners and one for intermediate/advanced exercisers.

First is Beginner Ball for Balance, Strength & Stability. This workout includes a variety of exercises designed to get you comfortable on the ball while helping you work on your balance and core strength. This is the perfect place to start if you have a ball but have no idea what to do with it.

Next is a Total Body Timesaver Workout involving supersets. In this workout, you'll use a variety of equipment (barbell, dumbbells, band, step and an exercise ball) and alternate between a lower body move and an upper body move. The beauty of this workout is that each exercise moves seamlessly into the next with very little equipment changes or even changes in position. This is great for those days when you're short on time, but want a good workout. This is more for intermediate/advanced exercisers and, as always, you should feel free to modify the workout as needed.

Great work outs but they are missing waist sculpting exercises and there is no leg adductor work (inner thighs)other wise great stuff.

These are great excercises following some cardio. The ab work outs target the perfect area of the tummy.

SuperAmanda.. If you mean by waist exercises that you dont have any ab work let me explain.. When you do anything on a ball you are using your “waist” as you call it and as far as squats and lunges ..you are getting a lower body workout.. These are compound exercises which means you are getting All muscles.. How do I know this.. I am a trainer and have been for many years..
