New Review: Cardio Coach Volume 8

Wednesday July 23, 2008
Nothing makes me happier than a new Cardio Coach workout (Note to husband: This does not apply to diamonds or the idea of you picking up your dirty socks), and Sean O'Malley's latest one, Volume 8, made me so happy, I almost passed out. Or maybe that was due to the longest intervals ever.

For those of you who don't know, Cardio Coach workouts (in MP3 or CD format) are guided interval workouts that can be done on any cardio machine (and I like to do them outside, too). Sean O'Malley is your coach throughout the workout, taking you through all the intervals and providing great motivation without being annoying or overly enthusiastic. The music is phenomenal and you'll feel like a warrior every time you hear it.

I can't say that Volume 8 is my favorite, because that honor belongs to Volume 6 or, when I'm feeling feisty, Volume 7. But, the stand-outs for Volume 8 include the incredible challenges, the great music (I especially love the music in Challenge 2) and the fact that, when you finish, you know you've accomplished something major. In addition, your performance in other workouts will be noticeably better. You can get the details in my review.

Hey Paige,

Yes, Cardio Coach is great!

But have you tried Treadmill Trainer? I urge you and anyone else who needs more motivation or wants to better their running/cardio to give both Cardio Coach and any of the Treadmill Trainer mp3 workouts a shot!

I have lost 40 lbs. since 1/01/08 through two simple items. First, a proper diet of veggies and avoidance of processed sugar. Secondly, and most importantly, is my use of the XBOX program “Yourself Fitness”. It is personalized and changes the difficulty as you progress in your routines. I can throw away all of the exercise equipment and simply stick to one product that will change as I change. The best ever.
