Supersets for Strength Training

There are a variety of ways to set up a strength training routine and one of my favorites involves supersetting - doing two or more exercises, one after the other with no rest in between. The workouts move quickly and I love the variety. You can:

  • Do exercises for the same muscle groups
  • Do opposing muscle groups, or
  • Pair strength and cardio exercises in the same superset

There are a number of other options, which you can read about in my article brilliantly titled Supersets, and I've posted a list of superset workouts to try, if you're interested in this training technique:

Be sure to leave a comment about your experiences. Have you tried supersetting? What do you like best about it and how do you pair your exercises? Leave a comment and tell us what you think about supersetting.
