Best Women's Fall Fitness Gear

Stay warm during your morning runs, walks and workouts with these fashionable jackets, pants, sports bras and shoes, all made of high quality materials to keep you warm, dry and comfortable during your workouts.

1. Half-Zip Pullover

This flattering half-zip top is great for those transitional times between fall and winter as well as winter into spring. It's perfect on it's own in cool weather, or you can layer it on colder days. The fabric is french terry knit and it's lightweight as well as flattering.

2. Yoga Pants

These comfy semi-fitted are flattering and comfortable, perfect for yoga or any other active pursuit (or even inactive pursuits, like lounging around the house). These will quickly become your favorites with a clean, flat waist, a zip fly with hook-and-bar closure and an internal drawstring. There also a hidden zip pocket on the lower leg, but I'm not sure what you would need that for.

3. Adidas Workout Pants

These pants are another favorite of mine because they're simple, comfortable, flattering and perfect for almost anything. I wear these often when I'm training personal training clients and find they're comfortable, flattering and perfect for keeping me warm. They're also great for those chilly mornings that can turn into warm afternoons.

4. Merrell's Jungle Slide Nubuck

I have a pair of these and have worn them almost every day for the past couple of winters. In fact, my husband is threatening to throw them away. They're still in great shape, even if there's a little wear and tear from snow and salt. What I love about these slip on shoes is that they're perfect after a workout or even for walking in the snow. The Nubuck leather is super comfortable and the soles are strong enough to grip any surface. The elastic stretch bands on the sides make them so comfortable, you'll wear these all the time.

5. Fleece Vest

I was never a fan of vests until I tried this one. Paired with a thin, sweat-wicking long-sleeve top, it's perfect for keeping you warm when it's chilly, but not cold enough for a full jacket. This vest is a favorite of mine because it's not bulky and it keeps you warm and dry by keeping sweat away from your body. It's also light and silky to the touch, so watch your pets - they may want to use it as their own personal mattress.

6. Patagonia Synchilla Wind Jacket

Patagonia makes some of the highest quality workout and outdoor gear out there and this wind jacket is perfect for women who get cold easily, like me. This jacket is reversible - on one side is microfleece velour and the other is soft high-loft pile, so both feel silky to the touch. The fabric is wind resistant and it's sturdy enough to wear during chilly workouts and stylish enough to wear out and about. This jacket has quickly become one of my favorites.

7. New Balance Seamless Tank

This is a great layering piece for those chilly days where you'd like more coverage, but don't want to get too hot. It's made of sweat-wicking fabric and, while it's hard to get off once it gets sweaty, it's worth the effort. It provides good support for low-impact activities, although smaller-busted women may be fine running in this one.

8. Northface Windstopper Jacket

This shell is an excellent jacket to have in all kinds of weather, especially during fall when the weather can change on a dime. The jacket is made with nylon, so it does make that swishy noise when there's friction between your arms and body. However, it blocks the wind, which is a must when the weather gets cool and the wind threatens to stop your workout before you even start.
