Description
Guide Review - PUSH Customized Personal Training DVD WorkoutsPUSH is such a great idea--a website that offers customized workout DVDs--almost like having your own personal trainer...except this one doesn't talk back (which I'm sure my clients would love to experience). Plus, they have a great sense of humor, offering an alternative to "sprinting to a yoga class, putting up with a pseudo-celebrity trainer on a generic videotape or changing next to a sweaty, overly friendly stranger at the gym." To join, you simply fill out the questionnaire provided which allows you to set goals, describe your fitness level, choose workout length and equipment and even what kind of music you like. Once you do that (and pay, of course), you'll receive a DVD with 2 customized workouts and a cardio workout. The cost is $75 for 3 months and each month you receive another round of workouts based on your updated profile. In my profile, I didn't specify a specific muscle group to focus on and my workouts were geared towards core work. The moves were challenging (bridges, planks, pushups, crunches and more) and my trainer (Mike Monroe) was engaging and not too hard on the eyes. The cardio kickboxing workout was low-medium intensity and not tough enough for me, but would be perfect for beginners. Overall, this is a great idea for young new exercisers. They have a 30-day money back guarantee so, if you don't like your workouts, you can return them for a refund. Updated: January 27, 2006 |
